About Us

With an abundant and varied background as a soldier, missionary, author, and father of five Dr. Lowell Worthington founded Carrollton Marriage & Family Counseling Center in 1985.

Educated in Texas, Dr. Worthington raised his family largely outside the United States.
His expatriate experiences include long periods living in South Africa and travel to
over 50 countries. His curiosity about people and cultures has led him to study French,
Afrikaans, Hebrew, Greek and Latin. Not surprisingly he is adept at working
with most cultural groups and nationalities.

With a lifetime of experiences Dr. Worthington has made his counseling
career a continuous giving back through his book on mid-life crisis
"Forty-five and Satisfied"  and by authoring hundreds of educational and
devotional articles.
 
A U.S. Army veteran, former Scoutmaster, 4-H Leader, Band Booster
President, and more, Dr. Worthington shares many of life's experiences
with his patients. He counsels from deep understanding and compassion.
